In the summer of 2014 Namarupa Yatra Divine went to Puri, Odisha on the Bay of Bengal to witness the world famous Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra. Lord Jagannath, His Brother Lord Balarama and their sister the Lady Subhadra ascend their incredible chariots and proceed from their huge Jagannath Puri Temple for 3 kilometers down the Grand Road to take their annual summer vacation in the Gundica Temple. We had grandstand seats right at the starting area of the great chariot festival and spent the entire day enthralled and captivated by the love, joy and spontaneous devotion. More than a million devotees thronged the Grand Road. This short video is offered at the Feet of the Lord.
Om-the day after showing the Jagganath Rath Yatra video at Eddie’s awesome #broomstreettemple Ganesha Chaturthi puja I found myself sitting alone meditating on the LI Sound bay. Opening my eyes I realized that right in front of me is a ‘daru’ the log form that the gods in Puri are fashioned from. Exactly as King Indradyumna saw in his vision of the god Nila Madhava who told him to worship god in a daru. Pardon me but this is astounding! Jai Jagannath!!!
Om Gam Ganapataye Namah Ahalya from Mumbai sent this message today Dear Lord Ganesha, :-
I don’t know about the challenges my Friends are facing..
But You know everything..
I hear their silence,
You hear their plead..
I see their laughter,
You see their tears..
I see what they receive,
You see what they sacrifice..
I see their happy faces,
You see their scarred souls..
I know their faith,
You know their doubts..
I know about their dreams,
You know about their fears..
I pray to You to give them everything they need & bless them for all times to come.
Wishing all my friends and their families worldwide a Happy Happy Ganesh Chaturthi.
With some beautiful photos as well.
Heart-warming scenes from a volunteer flood relief trip to Ravada Village in India as shot by Eastern Mountain Sports photographer and videographer, Robert Moses. Thanks to a generous donation of solar-powered lamps, school children can do their homework whenever they want, not just when there’s daylight. http://video.ems.com/?v=1348538271
